In election time, Political campaign rarely holds on social media platforms because many of the campaigns by political parties are done in various streets. Even during the recent local government, all campaign was done in our street and we were given various campaign. I do not think this social media political campaign works (Debola, Semi-structured Interview,2021)

I am not surprised when you mentioned you said I don’t participant in social media when it comes to participating political campaign on Facebook. I cannot even imagine how camping can be done on social media in Nigerian because our people are used to collecting caps and t-shirt which cannot happen on social media sites (Chude, Semi-structured Interview, 2021).

In another interview of the respondents, the resharing political post of political campaign as another finding of how social media impacts the political campaign of parties during Election in Nigeria was revealed:

I see people that upload political candidate that are going for electoral positions on WhatsApp which I sometimes repost to promote such candidate for the political position but I do not think, that can impact my participation in the political campaign of any political party (Lanre, Semi-structured Interview, 2021).

As seen by their critical assessments and direct statements based on the findings of the theme analysis, the majority of participants felt that political involvement in political parties' campaigns on social media is restricted. More than political propaganda, they demonstrate that major political campaigns were not conducted on various social media sites, such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. This implies that social media has had minimal impact on the political campaigns of Nigerian political parties throughout the election campaign period.
